Toyota bZ4X: The World’s First Electric Car With a Water-Cooled Battery and Solar Panel Roof

The concept of an electric car has been around for most of the 20th century. However, it wasn’t until the turn of the 21st that the idea became more than just a pipe dream. The first electric cars were released in 2008, and ever since then, more and more auto manufacturers have been releasing their own versions of it. One example is Toyota, who announced the release of a new b-segment car called the bZ4X in mid-March. Priced from approximately $34,000 (with mandatory taxes), it is seen as an affordable luxury car that can compete with other similarly priced models from Germany, Japan and even within the United States market. With this article, we will explore its technical specifications and features so you too can be better informed about what it has to offer you as both a potential buyer or renter.

What is the bZ4X?

The bZ4X is an all-new version of the b-segment, or subcompact, car in Toyota’s line-up, the Auris. It will be available in the Japanese and European markets and will replace the existing Auris Hybrid and Prius Plug-in Hybrid variants. The bZ4X is the first new model to come from Toyota in nearly a decade. The Auris has had a rough go since it was released in 2008 due to the global economic situation. However, the model received some much-needed redesigns and revisions this time around, making it all the more attractive. The new bZ4X is based on the Toyota New Generation Platform, which was launched in 2013 at the New York Auto Show and also underpins the latest Corolla, Yaris and new Prius. The platform itself is a reworked version of the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform which was initially introduced in the new Lexus LC.

How Much Does a Toyota b-Z4X Cost?

The Japanese market price of the bZ4X has yet to be announced, but the European and American prices are as follows: Japan: – Europe: – US: –

bZ4X’s Specification Highlights

– The company claims that the bZ4X has the ‘lowest battery cost in the world’, meaning it can cost less to run than a regular car. – The car is the first Toyota hybrid with a water-cooled battery, meaning it only needs to be charged for two hours every fortnight during the summer. – In order to reduce the amount of heat generated by the car’s lithium ion battery, the battery is placed in the trunk and solar panels are placed on the car’s roof. – The company claims that the car’s solar panel roof can generate enough electricity to charge the car’s battery once a month. – The bZ4X has a different type of drive system to other hybrid cars. It has a hybrid system in the front wheels and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in the rear wheels.

bZ4X: The Future of Toyota’s EV Lineup?

Toyota has been working on an electric car for quite some time now, and the company finally revealed what it has in store for the future at the New York Auto Show in 2018. Dubbed the Supra, the teaser image is what fans have been waiting for, with Toyota’s iconic logo printed on the nose. However, the company has been quiet about the car’s updates since the teaser was released, which means we can expect the bZ4X to receive updates in future as well. With the bZ4X, Toyota has a well-rounded electric vehicle lineup for the future, with the Prius Plug-in Hybrid and bZ4X providing customers with different options. The Prius Plug-in can be charged using a regular outlet and can also run on gas when the battery is low. The bZ4X on the other hand is only powered by electricity and is meant to be charged using solar panels on the roof.
